✦ The story

What happens in the book

The book opens in a village square where an old letter, sealed with wax, has been waiting a very long time for the right person to open it. It turns out to be addressed to your child. Inside is a map, a small silver key, and a very polite request from the queen.

The middle of the story is the quest itself — a ride through wheat fields, a night in a friendly inn, a tower with a puzzle on its door that only kindness can open. There's a dragon in this kingdom, but it's the kind of dragon who is mostly lonely, and the quest turns out to be about that.

Royal Kingdom teaches that being 'noble' has very little to do with crowns. The lesson underneath the adventure is that leadership is really about listening — and that even a small child, riding a small horse, can change how a whole kingdom feels.

A book about kindness as the highest form of bravery.

✦ FAQ

About the Royal Kingdom book

Is this a fairy-tale style book — princesses, knights, all of that?+

Yes, but modernized. Your child can be knight or royal or scholar regardless of gender, the crown is optional, and the dragon is a friend by the end. It reads more like a warm hero's journey than a classic fairy tale.

How is the dragon handled — is it scary?+

The dragon looks big on its page but the whole reveal is about loneliness rather than fire. Kids leave the book fond of the dragon, not afraid of it.

Can the story mention a real place — our village, our town?+

You can add a special place when you create the book and we'll weave it in — usually as the village square where the quest starts.
