Terms of Service

Kidavio is an AI-powered service that creates personalized, illustrated children's storybooks and posters. You provide information about your child (name, age, personality, photo), and our AI generates a unique story with custom illustrations.

By creating an account and using Kidavio, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What we provide:

• AI-generated personalized children's storybooks based on information you provide.
• AI-generated personalized posters featuring your child as a character.
• A free preview of your book (typically 2 pages) before purchase.
• After payment, a complete illustrated book (typically 10 pages) available as a high-resolution PDF download.

What you should know:

• Stories and illustrations are generated by AI (Google Gemini models). While we strive for quality, AI-generated content may occasionally contain imperfections, inconsistencies, or unexpected results.
• Generation times vary. A preview typically takes 1–3 minutes. A full book takes approximately 5–20 minutes depending on server load and demand.
• We do not guarantee that every generated illustration will perfectly match your child's appearance. The AI creates stylized, cartoon-style interpretations based on the uploaded photo.
• Generated books are stored in your account for as long as your account exists.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information about yourself and your child.
• Keeping your login credentials secure.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Ensuring you have the right to upload any photos you provide (i.e., you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or have explicit permission).

Pricing: Book and poster prices are displayed before purchase. Prices are shown in SEK, EUR, and USD depending on your selected region. All prices include applicable taxes where required.

Payment processing: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not handle or store your payment card information.

Refunds: Because each book is uniquely generated for your child and delivered as a digital product, we generally do not offer refunds after generation is complete. However, if there is a significant quality issue (e.g., the book failed to generate properly, pages are missing, or the content is clearly broken), please contact us and we will review your case individually. We want you to be happy with your book.

Free preview: You can review a 2-page preview of your book before deciding to purchase. We encourage you to review the preview carefully before buying.

Your content: You retain ownership of the photos you upload. By uploading a photo, you grant us a limited license to process it through our AI systems solely for the purpose of generating your book or poster.

Generated content: The AI-generated stories and illustrations in your book are created for your personal, non-commercial use. You may print, share, and enjoy your book privately. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the generated content.

Our content: The Kidavio name, logo, website design, and underlying technology remain our property.

You agree not to:

• Upload photos of children you are not the parent or legal guardian of (without explicit permission).
• Use the service to generate inappropriate, harmful, or offensive content.
• Attempt to circumvent payment, abuse free previews, or exploit the service.
• Use automated tools to scrape, overload, or interfere with the service.
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the AI models or prompts used by the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

You can delete your account at any time from your Account settings. Account deletion:

• Permanently removes all your books and generated content.
• Permanently deletes all uploaded photos from our storage.
• Removes your authentication record and profile data.
• Is irreversible — once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

You can also delete individual photos, delete all photos at once, or download your data as a JSON export — all from your Account settings. For full details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy.

AI-generated content: Kidavio uses AI to generate stories and illustrations. While we work to ensure quality, AI content is inherently unpredictable. We do not guarantee that:

• Every illustration will perfectly resemble your child.
• The story will always incorporate every personalization detail exactly as expected.
• The generated content will be free from all errors or inconsistencies.

Service availability: We aim to keep Kidavio available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may occasionally cause downtime.

Limitation of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kidavio's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or a notice on the website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Kidavio shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.
