What happens in the book
It begins with a small detour — a mushroom that seems to be pointing, a bird that seems to be waiting. Your child follows, and the forest closes softly behind them into somewhere older and stranger and kinder than the one they know.
In the middle of the book, they meet the keepers of the forest: a fox with a lantern, a stag with a map made of leaves, a child not unlike them who lives in the roots of the biggest tree. There's a puzzle to solve — a small one, a gentle one — before the path circles home.
Enchanted Forest is a book about the magic that hides in ordinary places. The lesson underneath it is that when the world feels big or strange, the right thing to do is walk gently and listen — the forest, and life, tend to answer back.
